How WTSO will work

The example will explain the idea using Google “Gmail”, but all email providers (e.g. Yahoo, Microsoft,..) are welcome as partners:

Jim creates an association, “GreenTown”, to protect environment in his town. He goes to www.wtso.org, subscribes and get the address www.greentown.wtso.org, web space and administrative tools.

In the meantime, Google has advertised that Gmail accounts allow to contribute to WTSO: every willing user expresses his/her profile (e.g.  Zip code, emails receivable per month, interests, e.g. “human rights”) and can be contacted, indirectly, by organizations. Google filters and forwards communications according to user profile, keeping email addresses secret.

WTSO platform will make giving easier: simplifying money giving (e.g., using mobile phones messages, or financing multiple initiatives with one transaction); allowing efficient giving of one’s time through a global “time bank”; channelling towards preferred initiatives money earned online answering to surveys, or watching ads or selling one’s pc unused processing capability (e.g. during screensavers).

So, Jim can use WTSO platform to communicate his initiatives to 1000 persons of his town interested in environment in few minutes, paying 10 dollars (that goes in the WTSO fund) instead of maybe 1000 for ordinary mailing, finding funds and help easily.

WTSO fund will be used for prizes to the best organizations and to promote at the United Nations, with a single stronger voice, global policies for a better world.
